about

The chorus in this song is about a time I walked around in a big city with my hands in my pockets listening to music through my big headphones. The hole in the ground in question is, in fact, McDonalds. I tried to get a ska-feel in the second verse, but I think I could've done better.

lyrics

Going nowhere, tell me
I don't feel like following farce
She burned her notebook, told him:
"Trust me, I know, it could've been worse"

Walk away, don't bother
telling me the opposite of hello
He cut all ties, convinced himself:
"Trust me, let go, it's starting to burn"

Pocketwalker tries his best to tumble, fumble around
Hands in his pockets, he is queuing to a hole in the ground
Pocketwalker tries his best to tumble, fumble around
And while he doesn't read the signs he still belongs to the sound

Taking time to visit
fashionable routes of bus
or is it just nostalgia?
Maybe - but dangerously familiar thus

Planning day trips by youself
What is wrong with being alone? (harmoni)
She burned her image, etched it
Into his head, his eyes and his mind!

What is wrong with ceasing if you can afford it?
What is wrong with sleeping if you can afford it?
What is wrong with stealing if you can’t afford it at all?

Pocketwalker tries his best to tumble, fumble around
Hands in his pockets, he is queuing to a hole in the ground
Pocketwalker tries his best to tumble, fumble around
And while he doesn't read the signs he still belongs to the sound
